We're home from the beach!!

Just wanted to share a few of our beach pictures. We had a great time and over dinner this evening I was already asking Rourk when we are going back. Ryan loved it. As you can see, his favorite part was covering himself from head to toe in sand. As long as he had a shovel or a bucket he was happy. He wasn't too thrilled about the water. We would sit him in the edge of it and he would sit for a few minutes and then wonder off to higher ground. And I am glad to say he didn't eat too much sand. The first night he got a big bite and I guess decided he didn't like it, because I don't recall seeing him eat any after that. And no sun burn...SPF 45 did the trick.

We are all pretty tired, each day was filled with activities minus the afternoon nap. We would usually get up early and head to the beach to beat the heat and the sun. We'd stay on the beach for a couple of hours and then head back to the condo for a snack or lunch. The condo was on right on the beach so it was easy to go back and forth. We'd usually rest in the afternoon, eat-in dinner and then hit the beach again in the evening, which was actually the best time because we didn't have to worry so much about coating ourselves in a thick layer of sunscreen. We did make a couple of trips into Charleston. Once to see a naval museum and then to an aquarium. Ryan thought the aquarium was pretty neat!! The beach was only 15 miles from downtown so it was an easy drive. This was our second trip and I loved it this time just as much as the first. I have started making a mental note of places that I want to see when we go again.

Take care and I'll try and send more about life in general soon. Oh, nothing to update about the adoption. Wait, wait, wait!
