Ryan is on last summer break.

Ryan is out of school for the next two weeks. It's made my life a little hectic, but it has also been great spending extra time with him. I had an early meeting and I decided not to take him, so he went and had breakfast with Landon and Aspen. I know he had more fun doing that than going and listening to me bore a group of social workers to death talking about social work ethics.

We were home by 10 am and haven't left the house since. We spent the morning pulling out every toy in the den and scattering them from one end of the den to the next. We read books and colored a few pictures. There was so much fun to do. After lunch Ryan took a three hour nap and that's when I started getting a few things done around the house. Now we are just waiting for Rourk to come home. It usually isn't until 6 or 6:30. He finishes his last patient around 5 and then there's clean-up, phone calls and then he spends a few minutes looking at the business side of things. I decided yesterday that the business side of things is something that one has to pay close attention. I payed bills and it took me a couple of hours to get all the supplies worked out. They have a great system, but it's the volume. It takes a lot of stuff to keep the office going.

I'll close. It's probably safe to start cooking dinner.
