A Trip to the Dentist.

We took Ryan for his first dental appointment this morning. He saw Dr. Mary Crockett and she was great. It was basically what Rourk calls a "happy visit." He got to sit in the chair and she examined his teeth and charted them. She said his teeth look great and really look good for a child with Down Syndrome. You may not know this but the teeth of children with Down Syndrome are delayed in developing and because they erupt in the wrong order they are usually crooked and sometimes pointy. Dr. Crocket also told us that Ryan should have enough space for the remainder of his teeth to come in, so hopefully they will stay straight. At least Rourk knows a few orthodontist if they don't.
