Adoption Update!!

After much debate, we decided to switch adoption agencies. We saw no end in site with regard to the accreditation issues in Russia and felt that our only choice was to move on. Our new agency is Christian World Adoptions. They have an office in Charleston, SC and Flat Rock, North Carolina. The Flat Rock office is only 40 minutes from our house. The good news is we have already updated our paperwork with the new agency and have a dossier on the way (if it's not already there) to Rostov on Don, Russia. I'll see what information I can did up about the city and region as soon as I get a chance. The other bit of good news is we hope to travel in a March or April. :0) Since the office is so close to us, I decided to drive up and hand deliver our dossier. When I turned it in our coordinator told me that the staff in Russia had been asking for dossiers for the Rostov region and that she hopes we travel in a couple of months. So, unless the regional government requests a document or wants something new, then we are just waiting on an invitation to travel. At that time we will be introduced to the children and then we will make a decision whether or not to adopt them. The first trip is around a week or so and then we'll come home to wait on a court date. That should be 6-8 weeks later. Don't want to jinx it, but maybe we can be home by summer.

And I know all of you are missing pictures of Ryan. Here are a few....
