Let's try Krasnodar.
Last week we spent a lot of time on the telephone with our CWA coordinator discussing our options. I think I have mentioned that the adoption officials in Rostov on Don are in discussions regarding paperwork requirements after a recent abuse case. They continue to talk and no one knows how long it will take for this to be resolved. Mid-week we started talking about switching to another region (I know, AGAIN.) and Sue e-mail several of the facilitators across Russian to inquire about available children and if any of them might meet our preferences. Tanya in Krasnodar said yes and to make a long story short, she is going to drive to Rostov on Monday and get our dossier and submit it to the Ministry of Education there. She is eager to get it becauce the MOE official is going on vacation the first of April and will be out until April 23rd. The plan right now is to get the documents registered and keep our fingers crossed that the official will grant us an invitation to travel at the end of April. Now, that doesn't mean we will travel at the end of April, it just means that hopefully at the end of April we will know when we can make our first trip. Right now Tanya doesn't think we will need to update any of our paperwork, but she'll let us know next week. Thankfully if we do it's easy stuff that we can just print off the computer and have notarized and apostilled. I am a pro at that!!
