Yesterday Anne and I went to Furman to check out our venue. We met with a representative from public safety and our event planner. We're making small talk about the event when the event planner asks, "Are you still expecting 250?"
I look at Anne.
She looks at me.
She smiles ever so slightly and I hesitate as I say, "We never dreamed back in May that we'd have such a turn out and when I told you 250 participant I was optimisitic." I looked at Anne again and said. "Anne, Don't you think I am correct by saying we have 325 people pre-registered and that's not counting volunteers or people that register on the day of the event?" Anne agrees with this estimate.
My heart races when I think about this. I just hope it can keep pace as this event draws closer and I don't have an anxiety attack that day.
