Getting to post.

The only reason I am getting to post is because I have a hearty stew simmering in the crock pot, Lilly is taking a late afternoon nap and Ryan is watching Noggin. For once I have a few precious moments to get on the computer.

Big news!! Lilly is walking. After months of trying and taking a few steps here and there, she is walking around the house completely on her own. We didn't encourage walking because we knew her mobility would change everything, but had I known it would make her happier I would have practiced with her everyday. Seriously, she's been a pill the last few months, but her demeanor has improved since she has become more independent. That's good for all of us.

Ryan is also becoming more independent. I heard him in the kitchen this afternoon rummaging around. I went to check on him and he had opened the refrigerator, taken out a yogurt and was trying to get a spoon. If it weren't for the child safety lock on the drawer he would have been successful. Now if I can figure out how to motivate him to go to the potty on his own then life would be great.

I am sewing a little everyday. That may be a slight exaggeration, but I am trying to squeeze in a few minutes when the kids are occupied. All this sewing is because I am gearing up to be a vendor at Upstate Kids. It is a consignment sale in Clemson. I reserved a booth and plan on making several things between now and the sale in March. I know I'll be making the reversible pinafore, but I also made a reversible sun dress the other night and a halter dress that will be perfect for summer. I love both of them. This is the first thing I have ever, ever done anything like this, so wish me luck!

I also received four yards of fabric today. It is from Heather Bailey's Fresh Cut Collection. It is absolutely beautiful. Now to decide how to use it.
