Cleansing.

I have thought about this picture all day.

I think it is a beautiful picture. I like to think that Lilly is standing in the rain soaking it up as if for the first time. I like to think the rain is cleansing her spirit. Those are mighty powerful thoughts that I have bestowed on my almost two year old, but still the same, that's what I like to think.

This morning Ryan and I went to his ENT appointment and he was excited to use the umbrella. I walked in the misting rain instead and let it dampen my skin. It felt good, and as I was walking into the building, I realized that I couldn't remember the last time I had walked in the rain dodging puddles.

So today I have watched it rain and I have been thankful for it and the cleansing qualities it gives us. I hope you are thankful for it, too.
