I get attached to things. Rourk brought this pan with him when we got married almost 15 years ago. It used to belong to his grandparents and I just can't part with it.
Two.I love pinto beans. No, not out of a can. I love pinto beans that have been cooked from dry beans. When I was a kid my Aunt Jennie made these on a wood stove. I am not kidding you; she'd simmer them all day, probably two days for all I know on a stove that looked similar to the one in the above picture. She'd make corn bread to eat with them, too. It was the best thing ever and I was just a kid. I still make them today, but minus the wood stove. Rourk does a much better job than I do and he's from Pennsylvania. What's up with that?
Okay, so that's only two and I owe you three more, but I just realized it is 5:15 p.m. and we are going to see the Cheetah Girls with the Down Syndrome Family Alliance this evening and I have to go. I'll tell you how that came about tomorrow. Yeah that should make a great blog topic.
