I'm in love.

I love this elf. I made him for Ryan, but I want to keep him for myself. My work as a Santa's Helper continues. I've made appliqued t-shirts for Ryan and I just finished cutting out lounge pants from my stash of robot fabric for him, too. I think he'll enjoy wearing them on cold winter days when all we can do is stay in and watch television all day.

I have also made an entire collection of dresses and pajamas for a doll that was mine when I was a little girl. The doll was at my parent's house and I swiped her for Lilly when we visited back in the summer. I always called her Sneezy because she sneezes when her tummy is squeezed. I was curious about her origins and found out by searching the internet that she is a 1974 Bless You Baby by Mattel and is quite rare. Okay, well, I assume she is rare because I found her listed on several website where people can list requests for dolls and other toys that they want to add to their collection. I saw several descriptions that indicate that she is a rare doll. If it is on the internet it must be true. And commence eye rolling now--I am making Lilly a dress to match one that I made for Sneezy.

You know, I am having way too much fun making these gifts.

What wonderful and special gifts. My grandmother made my Mandy doll clothes and I still have them. I know that AnnaKate will lvoe playing with them too. So you are making more than Christmas gifts...you are making heirlooms!

I like Sneezy's hair. Are all doll's destined to have that slicked back look eventually? I think they are.

Anyway, your Christmas gifts are wonderful! It has been a challenge to simply put up the Christmas tree over here.
