Rourk and I are Do-it-Yourselfers (is that a word) on most home improvement projects. We've learned over the years that nothing ever goes as quickly as you want and to just go with the flow. This philosophy has also cut down on the number of arguments we have while working together. It also helps to reminisce about past botched projects and how we persevered in the end. You know like the time we decided to replace the front door on our first house and how the new door didn't fit and how we had to make multiply trips to the hardware store that was 20 miles away to get needed supplies. It was a miserable way to learn, but I bet that door is still in use today.
Our newest project is laminate flooring in the living and dining room. We still have lots of work to do, but it's always nice to have a before and after photos. Look for the after photos sometime in the spring. I hope sooner, but you never know.
