Yesterday

I guess I could have written last night, but when I sat down at the computer I simply couldn't keep my eyes open. I even fell asleep while watching television.

So here I am watching a movie with Ryan and Lilly and reminiscing about yesterday. It was such a beautiful day. The weather was perfect and we took advantage of every minute of it. I finally divided our irises and moved some of them to the garden in the backyard. Ryan and Lilly helped me clean the spent flowers from the beds and pull a few weeds. This took the better part of the morning because we also did our fair share of playing on the swing set and blowing bubbles.

While I did this Rourk worked on the floor. It's starting to shape up and I am thrilled with how it looks. I am ready to do the entire house! I guess that's easy for me to say since I haven't put down the first board, but he's over half way finished with the dining room and living room so I can't help but think about moving on to the kitchen and tearing out the carpet upstairs.

We had a wonderful outing to the Furman football game. (We feel like an outing is successful with the kids if we make it out and home again without the kids getting into a fight or one of them having a breakdown or a potty accident.) We have season tickets in the reserved section, so we're right on the 50 yard line. From this vantage point we're able to see the game, hear the band and watch the players on the sideline; all this, a bag of popcorn and soda made the kids happy until the beginning of the second half. I wish I had taken my camera so I could have captured Ryan and Lilly dancing during the half-time show. I think the people around us enjoyed them about as much as they did watching the band. After that Rourk and I decided to quit while we were ahead and call it a day.

Until tomorrow....
